Run Daddy! Run!

What's going on Grandma?
Look at Daddy run!  Today Daddy and Mommy went running and we watched them out the back door.
We saw Hunter and Baby running with them!  That was funny and you and sister laughed!  Then we played run around the table until they got back!  Grandma had to run while you both ran after me!  After you got tired you made me pay a toll to get past you!  That was sooooooo smart!  
We looked out again to see if Mommy and Daddy were coming back and we saw Hunter ahead of them!  
He won!  That made us all laugh too!   Grandma didn't stop running until Daddy got in the house!  Wow!  Grandma is still young!  
Goldie is so happy that you are here with us!  Grandma and Grandpa are happy too!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake think you are so funny!  We all love each other so much!  
Tomorrow, if it is warmer, we will go find Whooey Who and see Bossy's nest!  We will see where 
Mr. Hoppy Toad is sleeping for the winter!  That will be lots of fun!  
Grandma better get ready to hug and play with you!  You should be back to me in a few minutes!

Whooey Who Finds a Santa Hat

What's going on Grandma?
Look at Whooey Who!  He wants you to see his funny Santa hat!  He found it in on the road somewhere and he swooped down and got it!  Bossy had to help him put it on- I am guessing!  He is a funny owl!
He likes you alot!  He is always thinking of things to say!  Who, who, will listen to him?
We do!  Whooey Who is staying in the barn, by the cows, for winter!  He thinks it is cold right now!
He gets alot of food in the barn too!  Nice place for him to stay in the winter!  
Mr. Hoppy Toad went under his house and isn't coming out until spring!  He is so happy under there!
That sounds strange to us!  We wouldn't live under our house and be happy, would we?
Joe Joe is still waiting for Grandpa to put the dog food on the front porch!  He wants to sneak it everyday!  
Hunter and Lady are sleeping on old blankets and clothes on the back porch!  Baby is too!  I told them that it looks messy to have that on the back porch but they think if I love them I will let them be warm and messy!  What do you think?  Should I move them?  They would be really sad at me if I did!
Guess I better show them how much I do love them!   They have a whole garage-barn to sleep in but they want right up against the house!  They are very nosey and don't want to miss anything their people do!
Hector and Kevin are getting lots of hair for winter!  They look fat!  I like them that way!  They like the cold weather and want some slippy ice to play on! I bet they get it soon!
Did I forget anyone?  Hope not because the animals like to say hello to you too!
Oh, yes!  I forgot Goldie!  He is trying to get my attention!  I hear him making water splashes!
Ok, Goldie!  I will say hello for you!  Goldie says, hello!  Now he wants me to feed him!  He is getting big fast!  You will like him!  We sure do!
Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake just finished their math!  They want a Christmas break from school!
Me too!  I need to get ready for some Grandchildren to come to my house!   I am sooooo excited!

It's Getting Cold!

What's going on Grandma?
These little sisters are ready for winter!  They have their fur God gave them and ear muffs and a scarf too!  Aren't they so cute!  Do they look like Chippy?
The one with ear muffs is Polly and the one with the scarf is Lolly!   I want to hold them!  I bet you do too!  Mommy had bunnies when she was little.  She would dress them up and push them in strollers, ask her about all the fun she had when she was a little girl!
Grandma thought you might like the picture of Polly and Lolly!  They are so cute!  Not as cute as you though!  Grandma is ready to see you all dressed up for winter!  I will, real soon! ;)
I better go take care of the animals!  Uncle Jesse feeds and Uncle Jake waters!  I get to talk to them!

Funny Doggies

What's going on Grandma?
Look at the funny doggies Grandma saw!  Baby doesn't want us to get her a santa suit!
She thinks these doggies look funny!  Baby wants a new blanket instead of an outfit!
Lady thinks she would wear a Santa suit but I don't think they make them big enough for her!
She is getting fat now that she feels better!  Hunter hopes these little doggies don't stay at our house because he is tired of sharing the dog food.  
Whoey Who is staying at the barn down the road.  I hope he comes back to see you when you come.
Bossy is still being bossy to Whoey Who and is telling him to come back to our yard right now!
Mr. Hoppy Toad thinks it is getting too cold for him to stay in his house, he wants to go to the underground room for winter.  I guess he should do that since he doesn't have any fur like the other animals. 
Hector and Kevin are excited about getting snow.  They like to play in it and push each other and slip and slide!  They have lots of fun.  Do you like snow?  Grandma does!
Joe Joe hasn't been sneaking the dog food because Grandpa won't move the feeder to the front.  Joe Joe is not brave enough to go in the back yard.  Maybe Grandpa will move it to the front so you can see him sneak the dog food!  He is a happy bird and he has lots of brothers and sisters too!
Did Grandma forget anyone?  I hope not!
Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake are making a Christmas list!  They are excited about Christmas!  It is Jesus' Birthday and we all get excited about that!  Thank You Jesus!  We love YOU!
Grandma better go to bed now.  I hope you like the picture of the little doggies in the santa suits.
I really like to see animals dress up like people, it is funny to me!  Hope you think so too!  We will dress Baby in some clothes while you are here!  She will let us do that.  Baby likes to show off!

Grandma likes Mice Stories

What's going on Grandma?
Look at this adorable picture of a Mouse family!  Grandma loves to hear mouse stories!  My Grandma told me stories about mice when I was a little girl!  Mice have families like we do!  A daddy and mommy and brothers and sisters!  Even grandma's!  They eat and sleep!  They run and play!  They get to do things in a small way!  Like see how they made a blanket out of a leaf!  One berry is a whole meal for them!  They have tiny tummies!  Look at the one mouse that has his arms crossed!  He is upset and wants to have what his sister has!  See the two little ones on the leaf blanket?  They are hungry!  Open wide!  Eat up little one!  So cute!  Mommy mouse is feeding them from the tree!  Does your mommy ever climb a tree and feed you?  That's funny!  
I hope you liked the mouse picture!  They are the Shoeshoe Family!   Mama Shoeshoe and Daddy Shoeshoe (he is at work) and four baby Shoeshoes!   Sissy, Missy, Lester and Prissy!   
They are a fun family!  You have a fun family too!

We love Cows!

What's going on Grandma?
Cows!  We love cows!  I do want a cow- I agree!   Look at the kitty and there is your rabbit!
And look at the birds!  My favorite bird is a cardinal!  They are so pretty and red!
I want these cows to be on our farm!  The big cow's name is Betsy and the little one is Bill!  
Little Billy is Betsy's baby!  Kitty's name is Milly!  What is your rabbits name?
Looks like they are getting ready for Christmas!  They want to thank God for Jesus too!
Will you have snow in Braska?  I think so!  Real soon!  That will be fun! 
 Look for cows for Grandma and Grandpa!  Betsy and Billy have lots of family- so see if you can find some of their relatives on the way to Braska!
Hope you enjoy seeing Betsy and Billy- hope they come to Grandma's house!  I like them!  I like Milly the kitty too!  And your bunny will probably find your house!  Tell me his name!  Is it a girl or a boy rabbit?

We Rode Horses!

What's going on Grandma?
We rode horses today!  Grandma and Grandpa rode nice horses today!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake rode horses today too!  Aunt Audrey and Buddy rode horses!  Aunt Amanda and  Uncle Michael & cousin Trinity, they rode horses too!  All of our church family rode horses!  We had so much fun today!  Now, we want to buy some horses!  What about this horsey in the picture!  Grandma wants him!   His name it Clifton 
that's a nice name isn't it?  If we get Clifton, you can ride him when you come to see us!  You will like that!   I think we are going to be cowgirls and cowboys!  Emma, you can wear your Jessie outfit to ride!  That would be so fun!
Grandma better go give the animals some cookies!  Not Mr. Hoppy Toad!  He likes bugs only!  Silly Mr. Hoppy Toad!

Meet Goldie

What's going on Grandma?
Meet Goldie!  He is so handsome- isn't he?  Uncle Jake likes him!  Goldie is very small right now but he can get much bigger and then we will need to get him a bigger fish bowl!  Right now he is in Grandma's kitchen bowl!  A big one!  But Goldie wants a nice house of his own!  We will get him one real soon!  I think Goldie needs a sister or brother- What do you think?  
See how Goldie doesn't have any hair!   Mr. Hoppy Toad will meet Goldie real soon!
We will take Goldie for a walk outside when we get his nice fish bowl.
Grandma will have to write more story later because it is time for more school work!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake are very smart like you are!  Guess it runs in the family!  :)  They like to learn and take tests!
Your Uncles really like tests!  They like to show me how smart they are!  Do you like Mommy and Daddy to test you?   You should take a test on how good you do ABC's!  And 123's!  How about writing your name!  I bet you get an A for that!

Fuzzy Bossy As a Baby

What's going on Grandma?
Here is Bossy's baby picture!  He is fuzzy but not the winner!  Who is the winner!  You pick!
I guess Boosy always had his hair spiked up!  No wonder he likes everyone to wear their hair like his!  He has had spiky hair since he was a baby!  
Whooey Who thinks he will win!  
Hector and Kevin are thinking they are getting pretty fuzzy right now because donkeys get lots of hair for winter!  Hunter and Lady do too!  Mr. Hoppy Toad has to stay under the ground of get by the fire place!  He won't get to grow hair- he doesn't want to grow hair!  He likes how God made him!  
We saw Joe Joe, the black bird, take a bath today!  He is so handsome!  Grandpa put the dog food on the back porch so Joe Joe couldn't dunk a piece in the water- he was a little upset at Grandpa!  Grandpa will move the feeder back!  We like our friends to be happy!  
I will show you a picture of Goldie next time!  He is real nice and does splashes in the water!  You will like him!  Uncle Jake says he is a fun fish!  
Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake are riding bikes down to see Silver!  Silver is not fuzzy so sometimes his people put a coat on him!  Really!  They do!  He likes to wear a nice coat!  That is true!  Lots of horses wear coats!  Daddy will tell you that is correct!  Grandma is quite telling the truth!
Well I better go see Silver too!  
Hector and Kevin want a cookie and they are telling me to hurry!  I think they should learn how to say please!   Right now they just say hee haw for everything and think I should understand them!  I do! 
 I really do!

Fuzzy Hunter! Fuzzy Lady!

What's going on Grandma?
Oh, no!  Look how fuzzy Hunter and Lady are!  Whooey Who is hooting about this!  We forgot how fuzzy Hunter and Lady were!  Aren't they so cute?  Hunter thinks he is fuzzier than Lady!  Hunter is the first one in the picture- the one with his tongue out!  He is a little fuzzier, isn't he?  
Now we have to get a baby picture of Bossy and see who is the winner!  Mr. Hoppy Toad is so glad he wins the no hair contest!  I will have to show him a picture of Uncle Jake's gold fish!  Fish are hairless too!  I better not tell him about Goldie, no one as met Goldie yet!  Uncle Jake won him at the fair but the outside animals haven't met him yet!  Shhh until after the contest!  Mr. Hoppy Toad is wanting to win!

Baby Whooey Who

What's going on Grandma?
Oh, baby Whooey Who!  Isn't he so cute!  
He wanted you to see how fuzzy he was when he was a baby !  What big eyes Whooey Who has!  He grew up to be a handsome owl.  I wish I could have seen him when he was a little baby.  Maybe someday there will be baby owls on the farm.  We could go to the zoo and see if they have a baby there.
Bossy thinks he was fuzzier than Whooey Who!  I told Bossy to show us a picture and we will decide who was the fuzziest baby!  Who do you think it will be?  I think Hector and Kevin will win.
I need to find a picture of Lady and Hunter.  We already saw a picture of Baby and she was not fuzzy!
Mr. Hoppy Toad is the winner of no hair! ha  He wants you to see a baby picture of him anyway!
Have you ever seen a baby toad?  I bet he was cute even without hair!  You didn't have much hair when you were little either and you were so cute!  You still are!  I miss you!
Something happen today.  Silver got out of his pen and ran down here to see us.  We were sitting out back in the swing and Silver came running to Hector and Kevin!  Grandpa saw him jump the fence and get in with Hector and Kevin.  They thought that was fun!  They wouldn't talk to Silver they just sniffed him and looked at him.  Whooey Who was thinking Silver should not have run away and Bossy was telling him to go home before his people come and get him.  Silver should have listened to Bossy because his people were a little unhappy about him coming to our house.  I told Silver that we would come and see him soon.  He is a happy horse and likes to run!
Hector and Kevin started talking to him after he got back to his own house.  Guess they were telling him to come back someday when he can!
Baby was trying to act like a big dog but Silver just laughed at her bark!   Baby always tries to act big- remember she thinks she is a people!  She is a very funny dog!
I didn't see Mr. Hoppy Toad today and Joe Joe was not taking a bath today- I miss them when they go off and do other things. Oh, well they miss me too when I go off and do other things!  
Grandma better go to bed now!

Ducky's Cold Swim

What's going on Grandma?
Look at Ducky!  This is a little friend of Mr. Hoppy Toad.  Ducky and her family live under the bridge by our house.  Ducky wanted to swim today but when he got in the water he was too cold!  This is a picture of Ducky ready to get out!  His mommy helped him and he shook all dry and sat in the sun with Mr. Hoppy Toad.  Toads and Ducks are getting ready for winter.  The water will be all frozen one day soon and Ducky wanted to try to swim before that happened.  I don't know where Ducky and his family will live during the winter but it will be a nice warm house- I'm sure!  
 Mr. Hoppy Toad is getting his house ready for winter and chopping a lot of wood for his fireplace!  Grandpa is helping him!  Mr. Hoppy Toad usually lives under his house in the dirt but he wants to try and stay in his house this year! Hope he gets to!  If he gets too cold he said- he will see us in the spring!   
Ducky thinks we might not recognize him next spring because ducks grow up faster than people do!
Grandma will see if he will wear a hat so I will know which one is him!  Do you think he will wear a hat for Grandma?   I will ask him and see what he thinks!
Hector and Kevin ate an apple today for Grandma!  Most of the time they want a cookie instead.  I told them to eat an apple first and later I would bring them a cookie.  They at the apple and are looking at me in the window trying to get  me to bring the cookie I promised them!  God tells us to keep our promises so I better take them one!  Grandma needs to remember not to promise things that I might not want to do later!  This time I want to take them a cookie but when it is raining or snowing I might not want to! 
I won't promise then!
Bossy is asleep right now and so is Whooey Who!  They were up all night talking to Lady!  Lady was not sleepy last night and she barked and barked and barked!   That made Whooey Who want to hoot and Bossy want to chirp!   I even heard Silver, down the road, telling one of them something!  Maybe he was saying, "Be quiet please I'm trying to sleep down here!"  Hunter and Baby just ignored them all and snored!   Mr. Hoppy Toad threw some dirt over his head and went to sleep!   Hector and Kevin do not want to talk about it!  They just want the cookie!
OK!  Grandma better go give all of the animals a cookie!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake said, "Don't give all of our cookies to the animals!"  
 I will buy some more!  
If Hector and Kevin ask for milk too Grandma is going to laugh!    
I am going out to the barn now!  Love and miss you so much!

Happy Birthday sweet Emma!  You are four!  I am so happy for you!  Grandma misses you so much!

Grandpa and Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake say, "Happy Birthday too!"  Whooey Who thinks you need a stuffed animal of an owl for your birthday but I told him maybe for Christmas!   Hector and Kevin think you need stuffed donkey toys and Lady, Hunter and Baby think you need doggie toys!  Mr. Hoppy Toad thinks you need a frog toy for a present!  Bossy is just sure you want a bird toy! 
Who is right?    Maybe you want all of them!   
I will send you the picture of the puppies singing and this time think about them singing Happy Birthday to you!  
I am going to go for a walk now and see if I can see the puppies and Silver!  Hunter and Baby will go with me!  Then Grandpa is going to bring pizza home and we will watch the Waltons!  Do you ever watch the Waltons?  They come on INSP #259 @ noon and at 7:00 pm!  Dish network!
I like to watch the Waltons!  Ask Mommy about it :)
We will eat pizza and wish we could be at your party!  Have fun my oldest grandchild!

Silver on Grandma's Walk

What's going on Grandma?
Look who Grandma saw on her walk!  His name is Silver!  He is so beautiful!
Hunter and Baby took me on a walk and they showed me this beautiful horse!  He is our neighbor's horse!  We can visit him anytime we want to!  Silver likes Hunter and Baby!  They are good friends!  Today was the first time Grandma ever met him!  He likes me!   I have seen Silver lots of times but I have never gotten real close to him!  Today I did!  I like horses!  Grandma likes all animals and birds!  I like toads too!
Most of all I like my grandkids!  I like to share stories with you about God and animals that He has made!
Silver was showing off for me!  He thinks he can dance!  I don't have any animals that like to dance so this was fun!  Can you dance?  Uncle Jake can dance!  Uncle Jesse does not like to dance!  He plays the drums - he plays real good!  Grandpa danced a long time ago!  Grandma dances when no one is looking!
I get so happy that I feel like I want to dance!  So I do!   Maybe that is why Silver likes to dance!  He is happy!  
Grandma better go to bed now!  Remember to dance when you are happy!  It is fun!!
I will take you to see Silver when you come to my house!  We will see lots of animals when you come!

Meet Joe Joe

What's going on Grandma?
Look at Joe Joe!  He is taking a bath!  Maybe he wants Grandma to get him a towel!  I think birds just shake all over until they are dry!   Dogs do that too!  Donkeys shake off too!  Mr. Hoppy Toad does not shake off when he takes a bath.  He just hops and hops until he is dry!   So I guess we are the only ones that use a towel!  Thank You God for towels!  I wouldn't want to shake or hop until I was dry- would you?   That would be so funny to see people do that!  Grandma is laughing about that!  
Joe Joe hopes you think he is handsome!  He might show you how he eats dog food when you come!
Last year he did it every day!  Hunter is thinking he is going to scare Joe Joe when he sneaks his food!
Joe Joe and Bossy have a plan so that Hunter never knows when Joe Joe sneaks Hunter's food!   Lady doesn't really care because she likes cookies better than dog food any way!   Baby likes to eat bugs the best!  She really does eat big bugs!  Gross!  
Grandma went walking with Kevin and Hector and they wanted me to sing!   When I would sing for them they would sing too!   I told them that they don't even know the words but they didn't care they just made up stuff!  So Grandma just made up stuff too!  Hunter and Baby came with us to see if they could mess up our song but we just kept on singing!   Bossy put his head under his wing because he thinks he is the only one that can sing good!  Whooey Who just said Who Who Who because he doesn't know a lot of words!  He sounded good with our singing!   Mr Hoppy Toad came to see what all the singing was about and he did a little croak noise and then went back to his house!  He looked pretty tired and he hadn't had his supper yet!  Baby eats up the daytime bugs so he has to wait for her to go to bed before he  can eat.   Silly Baby!   
Uncle Jesse played the drums today and Uncle Jake made up lots of fun things to play!  He is still playing!  Grandpa is watching a ball game with Uncle Jesse and Grandma is telling you a story!
I like to play story time with you!  I hope you like it too!

Hector's Baby Picture

What's going on Grandma?
Grandma was looking at some pictures- see what  Hector looked like when he was a little baby!  So cute!  Baby donkeys are so fuzzy and soft!  Someday we will have lots of baby donkeys on the farm!   That will be so fun!   I wanted you to see how cute the baby donkeys are!  
Whooey Who will be looking for a picture of when he was a baby!  He thinks he was cute and fuzzy too!
Mr. Hoppy Toad has always been silky and never fuzzy!   Bossy was fuzzy!  Hunter and Lady were fuzzy!  Baby was a little fuzzy but  Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jesse, and Uncle Jake  were not fuzzy when we were babies!  We were squishy and so were you and mommy!  Was daddy fuzzy when he was a baby?  Ask him!  He will laugh!  
I hear my old black bird friend outside!  His name is Joe Joe!  He makes alot of noise even more than Whooey Who!  Not as much as Hector and Kevin though!  They are the winners of loud voices!
I think you agree!   I will send a picture of Joe Joe real soon!  Bossy is his friend.  They like to talk to each other but not in the same tree!  Joe Joe is in the front yard and Bossy is in the back by the swing set!
They yell back and forth to each other!  Bossy tells Joe Joe when it is safe to sneak a bite of dog food!
Then Joe Joe gets a piece and takes it to the bird bath and dunks it in the water like we do with a cookie and milk!  Oh, what funny things animals and birds do!  Frogs too!  Can't forget that funny Mr. Hoppy Toad!  
Well, now you know what is going on at Grandma's house today!

Whooey Who has a sister!

What's going on Grandma?
Look at Whooey Who's sister!  She is the first one!  Her name is Pretty Who!  I guess she came to stay with Whooey Who for awhile!  Aren't they so cute?  See the Christmas tree they live in?  How fun to have two Hoot Owls!  Bossy wants his sister to come stay with him too!
Lady is Hunter's sister so he has his sister!  Guess what!  Lady walked all by herself today!  She is getting all better!  All of us are so happy for her!  
Baby thinks Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake are her brothers because when she was little she slept in bed with them!  Hunter and Lady never have stayed in the house so she thinks she is a people not a dog!
That's funny isn't it?  
Mr. Hoppy Toad thinks Whooey Who and Pretty Who make too much noise so he is going to get ear plugs for sleeping at night!  Grandma might do that too!  Grandpa says he doesn't hear them!  Guess Grandma has good ears!  
Hector and Kevin are going to let Whooey Who and his sister sleep in the barn this winter!  One on Hector's back and one on Kevin's back!  That will be funny!   Owls and donkey's both sleep standing up!  Did you know that?  Can you sleep standing up?  Grandma can't!  God made people to sleep like you sleep!   Thank You God!!!

Baby's first Halloween

What's going on Grandma?
Baby wanted you to see her very first Halloween outfit when she was a little Baby!  Isn't she so cute?
She wishes she could still fit in her costume but she is a big girl now.  Baby doesn't know what to dress up as this year.  She wants to know what all of you are going to be.  
Did you see the pictures of when you were little and went on your first trick or treat?  So cute!

What's going on Grandma?
We are hungry around here!  Do any of these foods look good to you?  Grandma likes the grapes and Grandpa likes the corn!  Uncle Jesse likes the pumpkin for a good pie and Uncle Jake likes apples!
Hector and Kevin sniff at all this good food but will only eat the apples!  Hunter, Lady and Baby shook their heads no- at all of it!  Whooey Who thinks he will try some later- he likes meat I think!
Bossy said, yes, to the fruit! :)  Mr. Hoppy Toad likes flies so he thinks he will let an apple get stinky and then catch a few flies that land on it!  Smart, isn't he!
I want that nice bunch of grapes soooooooo bad but I don't have any in the house!  I like this picture of all the good fruit God gives us!  I will go buy some at the store!  Do you have any of these things in your house?  If you do will you put it all on the table and get Mommy to take a picture of it for me?  I like pictures of good food!  Will you be in the picture too?  I miss you so much!  All of you!
Remember to put a bunch of food on the table and make it look real pretty and Grandma will be so happy!   I will show all the animals the food that you have in your house and see if they like what you have!  That will be real fun!
Well Grandma better go to bed now, sure wish I had some good fruit!  I am hungry for good food!

We are Getting Excited

What's going on Grandma?
Grandma is getting excited about Nebraska!  This is a picture of a bridge in Nebraska.  When you drive there will you look to see if you can find it for me?  Maybe after you get in your new house you will see it when you take nice drives in the country!  I am getting excited about Nebraska!  I will come and see you!
Well- to all of my grandkids- it has been kinda slow around here.  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake are doing their school lessons and Grandpa is fixing things at work and selling furniture!  Grandma is taking care of everyone- even all of the animals!  Lady is feeling much better but still isn't walking around yet.  I think she likes all of the attention she is getting!  Hunter is up all night hunting so he sleeps all day!
Baby is always trying to find a place to lay in the sun.  She like to sleep in the sun!  Whooey Who stays up with Hunter all night and says, "Who, Who," to everything!   Bossy is still being bossy and goes down to the puppy's house and bosses them too!  They like him to boss them, they think he is so funny with his spiky hair doo!   Mr. Hoppy Toad had a big spider try to move in with him!  He got so unhappy about it!  He wants a door now!  I guess Grandpa will have to make him one!
Hector and Kevin had a fun game they were playing today!  Pull the blanket!  Hector won!  Kevin is still kinda unhappy about it but Whooey Who was trying to point out wise things about being a good game player!  Some one has to lose and sometimes it will be you!  How do you want some one to treat you when you win?  Or when you lose?  Kevin needs to learn how to play with out pouting!  Whooey Who is a wise owl!  Owls are famous for being wise.   Did you know that?
Well I better go fix supper and check on everyone!  I love you sooooooo much!

Jake's Party

What's going on, today, Grandma?
Today is Uncle Jake's birthday!  He sure is excited!  Hunter and Baby went to the neighbors and invited the puppies to come to his party!  Look at them sing!  They are so cute!  They really sing loud!
They sing in doggie words and we couldn't understand them but Hunter, Lady and Baby did!
Mr. Hoppy Toad was worried about them turning over his house so he stayed home!  Whooey Who thought he would watch from his tree and Bossy watched in the window because animals make him nervous!  Hector and Kevin want us to bring them some cake so we will! Uncle Jesse wishes we could keep the puppies but they have to go back home to their mommy and daddy!  We sure enjoyed seeing them!  Puppies are so cute and fuzzy aren't they?
It was more fun to have the puppies come to the party than a clown!  Clowns make Grandma nervous! ha!

The puppies names are Blondie, Snowball and Spot!  Good names huh?  
Uncle Jake got lots of presents but it was all boy stuff!  I know one grandchild of mine that would like boy stuff!  Grandma likes to play little boy toys like trucks and cowboy things.  Grandpa likes the ball game toys!  Jake got big boy toys!  He is twelve today!  
Well I better take the puppies home now.  Wave bye bye to them.  We get to keep the picture of them - that will be fun to remember how they looked when they sang Happy Birthday to Jake!  So cute!
Hunter is taking them home so I won't have to!  Good boy Hunter!  Wait!  They forgot their goody bags!
I better run after them!

Look at Baby!

What's going on Grandma?
Look at Baby!  She dressed up for a picture to send you!  Isn't she so pretty?  She is trying to smile big for you!  Baby might wear this for Halloween- what do you think?  Hunter and Lady think they are too old to dress up so they are going to stay home and bark!  Hector and Kevin haven't made up their minds yet on what they want to be but Whooey Who wants to be a bat and Bossy wants to be an eagle!
Mr. Hoppy Toad wants to be a monkey!  Isn't that funny- a frog dressed up like a monkey!  I guess they both hop around.  Maybe your uncles will work on his monkey suit and send you the picture! :)
Grandma has silly animals doesn't she?

Now That's cute

What's going on Grandma?
Look what Grandma saw this morning!  Yesterday you found out that Grandma likes to put clothes on a frog and today I found a picture of a kitten dressed up like a frog!  Isn't she sooooooo cute!  Mr. Hoppy Toad will sure like this!  
Grandma wants you to know that I like to put clothes on animals!  I always have liked that and so did your mommy!  When Aunt Andrea was little she did too!  Get them to tell you about all the times they dressed up rabbits, kittens and dogs!   They would dress them up and push them in strollers like the picture of Mrs. Mouse and Holla!  You see, it really is people who put clothes on animals and frogs!   Animals like the clothes God gave them best but they will let us play dress up with them because animals like to make us happy!  That is why God made them, I think, to make us smile and laugh!  And they sure do!  I just wanted you to know that it really is Grandma who dresses animals!  I like to do that even if it is in a picture of them!  Thank you for letting Grandma have fun with you and send cute pictures of dress up!  You grandkids are soooooooo precious to me and I love you all so very much!
Once I put clothes on Hector and Kevin!  I even cut out holes for their ears and put hats on them!
Why do I like to dress animals and get pictures of them in clothes?  I think God likes me to have fun with all His things He made!  Maybe He wants you to have fun with me!  :)   Will you have fun with Grandma and all her stories of adventures with animals?   Just remember that Grandma is just having fun and playing story time!  Grandma's do that!  When you went to Disney Land you saw people dressed up like animals didn't you?  Or were they big animals in clothes?  Tell me what you think!   I told you what I think!   I like to play dress up with animals (and frogs!)
I hope you like the little kitten!  Mr. Hoppy Toad thinks she looks real cute dressed up like a frog!  Me too!   Do you?

I Found Holla!

What's going on Grandma?

Look who I got to see!  Mr. Hoppy Toad was checking out the neighborhood and he saw Mrs. Mouse and her little baby!  The babies name is Holla!  He was so happy!  He told Mrs. Mouse that he had a friend that liked the name Holla.  We got this picture for you!  Little Holla is real cute!  They were on their way to  Floormart!  They don't have a Walmart like us, they go to Floormart!   It is under the ground!   We can not go there because it is not big enough for us.  I wonder if Holla got a new toy?

Mr. Hoppy Toad was real proud of himself for finding you a girl named Holla!   You will have to thank him!

Now for the next thing that happened today at Grandma's house!  We made a big scarecrow to sit by our pumpkins!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake worked real hard on him!  We had our best friends come over and play today and they made one too!  They took theirs home with them!  

Whooey Who is a little worried about him because he doesn't talk!  I told him that scarecrows are quiet and just have a fake mouth.  He still thinks he should say something!  At least hello!  

Bossy, said that the scarecrow will have a new hair doo in the morning!   We know what that will look like!  

What should we name the scarecrow?   Do you have a good name for us?

Hector and Kevin are wanting to play with the scarecrow but I think they just want to eat the hay that is in his shirt!    They are sneaky like that!  

Hunter, Lady and Baby just like him and think he is cool!  They really don't care if he talks or not as long as he minds his own business!   Mr. Hoppy Toad is making a little scarecrow for his yard too!  He thinks we had a good idea!  You should see Mr. Hoppy Toad stand on his back feet!  He is really tall when he does that!   He had on a nice shirt and pants today because he was going to his Froggy Store where he works.

At home he doesn't wear clothes!  That seems funny to us doesn't it!  Grandma wears her clothes all day!

Frogs are funny!  

Well that is what went on at Grandma's house today!  I better go get supper because Grandpa is hungry!

I will fix tacos!  We like tacos!  Do you?  

I hear Whooey Who!  Who is fixing taco's?  Who!   Who!   Who!

Hector Changes His Mind

What's going on Grandma?
Today Hector tried out his new house!  He didn't like it so Grandpa will have to take the door off!  Hector thought he wanted a door on his house but he changed his mind!  Mr. Hoppy Toad didn't want a door on his house either and Hunter, Lady and Baby shook their heads- no door on their house!   Whooey Who shook his head, no door!  And Bossy shook his head, no door for me either!   Kevin tried to show Hector that it wouldn't be a good idea for  donkeys to have a door on their house!  He showed Hector that a door was for kicking!   Now Grandpa won't have to take the door off!  Kevin kicked it off!  Hector laughed!  Hunter and Lady pointed to Baby to go tell on him!  Baby wanted  Bossy to tell but Bossy thinks it is so funny he wants Kevin to kick the door again!  Whooey Who is wise you know and he thinks donkeys are silly!  
 Do you want a door on your new house?  Of course you do!  You are a people and people like doors!
I like lots of doors!  Front doors, Back doors, Bedroom doors, Bathroom doors and what other kind of doors are there?   That's all I can think of!   Can you tell me another door name?  It was a fun day on the farm!  All of the animals are sleeping now and Grandma and Grandpa are going to bed!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake want to stay up!  Grandpa shook his head - no!  Well that's what went on at Grandma's house today!

Mr. Hoppy Toad Moves In

What's going on Grandma?
Today Mr. Hoppy Toad moved into his new house!  He is soooooooo excited!  He thinks it is going to be a really fun house!  We worked real hard on it and got it just the way he wanted it to be!  He wanted the edges of the door to be all smooth so his kids wouldn't get hurt!  He hung up a picture of Jesus!  He is so thankful to God for his new home!
Whooey Who wants us to help him with his house in the tree and Bossy wants a house too!  He thinks his nest is a little old fashioned!  He likes Mr. Hoppy Toad's style so we told them both we would help!
Maybe when you come see us we can look at all their houses!  That will be fun!
Hector and Kevin want something new too and of course that means Hunter, Lady and Baby will want a new house also!  Grandma and Grandpa will be very busy for a while!  Uncle Jesse and Uncle Jake will help us!  Jake says he doesn't want to use his birthday money to buy flower pots!  Uncle Jesse either!
I bet I can talk them into it!  I know Bossy can!
Well Mr. Hoppy Toad just wanted me to take another picture of him by his new house!  I think he likes you a lot!  That's all he thinks about- showing you what he is doing!  He is handsome!  He know it too!
Bossy is wondering why Mr. Hoppy Toad doesn't have any hair!  What should I tell him?
